How does the technician actually receive the QR?
When you generate a sign-off, you tap “Send to technician” and your phone’s share sheet opens — SMS, WhatsApp, email, or any messaging app you have. The tech taps the link and sees a branded job ticket with the full-screen QR ready to show the customer.
Do store managers need to install an app?
No. Scanning the QR opens a standard mobile web page. No app, no login, no account. The whole sign-off takes under 30 seconds.
What if the customer’s camera can’t read the QR?
Every job ticket includes an 8-character backup code. The customer can type it in at workordersignoff.com/sign to open the same sign-off page.
Can I attach the proof to my invoice?
Yes — that’s the whole point. Every completed job has a branded Proof of Completion page showing your logo, the signer’s name and signature, timestamp, and work details. Share the link, print to PDF, or attach it directly to the invoice.
We work with dozens of vendors. Will this get messy?
No. When you type a vendor name, we autocomplete from your saved vendor directory — with their phone number and trade. New vendors are added on the fly and their usage history builds up over time.
How do I keep the dashboard clean as jobs pile up?
Search across work order number, vendor, property, signer, and description. Archive finished jobs with one tap (they’re never deleted — restore anytime). Toggle between Active and Archived views, and export either set as CSV.
What happens if the job wasn’t done right?
The sign-off page lets the customer mark the work as needing attention instead of approving it, with an optional comment. You’re notified in your dashboard immediately.
Is the sign-off legally defensible?
Every record captures a typed legal signature, timestamp, IP address, device info, and the exact work order details shown at the moment of sign-off. Records are immutable once signed and exportable as PDF or image.
